I highly recommend this course, and any other course given by Paul Aurand and Jeff Cohen, to anyone interested in studying hypnotherapy. Both instructors impart their years of experience and knowledge to each student. All aspects of each hypnotherapy session is discussed and demonstrated with supervised practice and Q&A sessions.
The lectures are presented in a way that build on our knowledge and understanding of hypnosis and how it should be implemented. Then these highly skilled instructors demonstrate what was just taught and every student is then given the chance to practice for themselves. The student practice sessions are supervised with discussions afterward to ensure that each student not only understands what was taught but can also perform the procedures presented in the course material.
I researched other hypnotherapy courses and after the first hour at The New York Hypnosis Center I knew that I chose the right instructors and course. Jeff and Paul are committed to provide each student with the knowledge necessary to successfully develop their own hypnotherapy practice. The compassion and professionalism that Jeff and Paul display is of the highest quality that anyone can have. All hypnotherapy topics were covered, demonstrated with practice sessions provided.

Hello Paul and Jeff,
In some way, I am certain you both know that you touch peoples’ lives with the training you offer . What you don’t know is that I walked away not really understanding what it was that I experienced, just knowing that it was good for me. It has to be good for me, to feel as well as I do. I feel more loving and compassionate. Thank you for this gift in addition to the training.
What I loved about the training was the comfortable manner you both have about you, sharing all of your years of experience. You are both so capable. You took the time to answer all of my questions. I was really there to learn how to mimic Paul Aurand’s style, which I had experienced in three classes at the NGH, and knew it was the right fit for me. I knew I needed to learn more about regression work, reassuring the client, and helping the client change beliefs that no longer serve them. Again, I stumbled on past life regression, thinking that it was just going to be an additional part of the class. It was interesting that all of the other students seemed to know they were there for that reason. This keeps happening to me and the effect is incredible each time. I stumble upon something and then it seems to change my life. Jeff, I think your kindness towards me as a student, and the encouragement you gave me helped so much in understanding the approach to take. A great take-away for me was “asking permission”. Leaving the direction up to the client and facilitating with a gentle, soft voice.
I look forward to continuing practicing using the materials Paul has developed, adopting both of your styles, and I also look forward to partaking in more classes offered by both of you. I am imagining a Paul Aurand, Jeff Cohen and Michael Ellner (?) class in February in Southern Florida ….please.
