What
is hypnosis? Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness that allows your conscious
mind to quiet itself so you can access your very powerful subconscious.
While in this restful and peaceful state, you always maintain conscious
control; yet your subconscious has the opportunity to incorporate
powerful new thoughts and ideas that facilitate change.
Our
core philosophy: We practice a form of hypnosis called "Transpersonal Hypnotherapy"
which has at its core a client centered approach. It is our belief
that every effect has a cause and almost every client, through the
use of hypnosis, has the capacity to uncover not only the details
concerning the origin of his/her problems, but the solutions as
well. The hypnotist or hypnotherapist approaches a session as a
facilitator with the deepest respect for the client's inner wisdom
for locating and resolving his/her issues. Each of us is following
our own unique path through life and it is not for the hypnotist to judge but rather trust in the client's ability to find his/her
own way, according to his or her own individual time table.
Frequently
Asked Questions: Hypnosis is often misunderstood, and
we at the NYHC spend a great deal of time discussing the various
myths and questions that our clients might have about hypnosis.
Here we list just a few of the most common questions and misconceptions
so that you understand the truth about hypnosis and the power it
offers for positive change.
An
overview of hypnosis excerpted from an article in the National Guild of Hypnotists Newsletter,
written by one of the NYHC's own Master Hypnotists, Jeffrey
H. Cohen.
Self-discovery
through Transpersonal Hypnotherapy: Socrates once said: "The unexamined life is not worth living." As
you achieve your goals be they physical, mental, emotional
or spiritual through Transpersonal Hypnosis, you will
learn more about who you are, why you are here and how you can fulfill
your purpose in life.
The
news is out! Hypnosis really works! NYHC's transpersonal hypnotist, Jeff Cohen and Dolores McCullough,
affirm it. Their clients experience it. And, even the media is beginning
to get out the news that hypnosis is one of the most powerful tools
for positive change!
Hypnosis
is safe and confidential. Practitioners at the New York Hypnosis Center (A professional membership educational organization), are certified hypnotists and members of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists,
the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotists, and the National Guild of Hypnotists. As NGH members, we are required to
adhere to its Code of Ethics. At NYHC we respect the confidential
nature of our sessions and anything that is discussed between client
and hypnotist is held in the strictest of confidence.

Both Dr.Wayne Dyer and Dr.Bruce Lipton explain the power of the sub-conscious mind in creating our reality. What ever is going on in our outer world, it is mostly a reflection of this powerful inner world. Hypnosis provides a vehicle to reach this part of the mind that has such a profound impact on who we are and who we ever hope to become. Perhaps it's your time, through hypnosis, to take the responsibility for your own happiness and success and become the co-creator and architect of your own life. Take a moment to watch these 2 self-empowering videos. I look forward to hearing from you when your ready for change.
