Hypnosis
is a powerful way to experience self-discovery and in the process
effect positive change in one's life. It allows you
to access the deeper level of your mind where you will find not
only an understanding of the nature of any problems or issues
you have but also the needed remedy. Within the subconscious of
each of us there lies a level of wisdom and insight that far exceeds
what might be available to our conscious awareness. As hypnotists,
we are not trained nor licensed to deal with the conscious mind.
This is an area best left to the professionals in the mental health
field who have studied and trained in this part of the mind. The
hypnotist, on the other hand, is educated and trained to work
with the sub-conscious mind. This is the powerful part of the
mind that determines who we are, what we are, and whatever we
hope to become.
Hypnosis is effective, powerful and it works! It is a way of transferring
power and control back into the hands of the client. All hypnosis
is self- hypnosis and the role of the hypnotist is that of a facilitator
helping clients not only to identify the origin of many of their
problems and issues but through self-discovery to find the solutions
as well. The hypnotic process is short term, typically taking
only a hand full of sessions rather than years to see results.
Because hypnosis is so extremely
effective and efficient in helping the individual actualize and
achieve his/her goals, the future has to be bright. As Tony Robbins
is so often quoted as saying "Success leaves clues!" And with
todays out of control health care costs it is only a matter of
time before the public embraces what works. It has already started
to happen. Evidence seems to be both accumulating and pointing
to what appears to be a shift in perception as more and more clients
become exposed to hypnosis and it's awesome power for positive
change. Even the mainstream media has shown an increasing awareness
of hypnosis. Recent print articles and television shows like Dateline
while not entirely accurate have on balance been positive.
It is only a matter of time
before hypnosis takes its rightful place within the self-help
and healing arts fields . . . There is an ever increasing segment
of the population that seems to be looking outside traditional
institutions and professions that in their minds have failed to
deliver the promise . . . I am profoundly impressed with the talents,
abilities and ethics of those who seem to be attracted to hypnosis
as a way of helping people empower themselves.
