It can be
said that all hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis, and we are in
and out of an altered state many times as we go through our day.
In fact, there is a commonly used term for the type of concentration
you experience while driving on the highway that causes you to
miss your exit: Highway Hypnosis! Another example of self-hypnosis is the groggy, mind-wandering phase just before you fall asleep
each night and just after you wake up each morning (called the
Theta State or Creative State of the brain in NLP
terminology). If you're like most people and you've experienced
any of these, then yes, you can be hypnotized.
We at the
New York Hypnotherapy Center are simply guides. Our skilled hypnotists
are trained in helping you induce and experience this trance-like
state, and with our aid you can then be guided through problem
areas to achieve a positive outcome and resolution. .
